While I handle all types of personal injury cases, everything from catastrophic car collision cases to sexual abuse cases, to slip and falls, I do a lot of medical malpractice cases. And I've developed a reputation as someone who knows medical malpractice law. And one of the ways I think I've developed a reputation is that I started my career off as a medical malpractice defense attorney. And I got to represent almost every type of medical specialist you could imagine.
I represented nurses, I represented hospitals, dialysis facilities. I also in my defense attorney days represented drug companies. I represented tire manufacturers, ladder manufacturers. So I have a lot of experience representing individuals and companies in the medical field. So over my years of doing not only now plaintiff's work but defense work, I've developed a lot of relationships and a lot of contacts with different medical experts, not only in the New Jersey, New York metropolitan area, but all over the country.
Dealing with medical experts is part and parcel of a medical negligence case because you can't get to the finish line without medical experts. My reputation has grown I think over the last five to six years because we have done what we do still today for every case, we take every case from the beginning and handle it as if it's going to go to trial. We're going to be ready, willing, and able to try their case to a jury and ultimately let a jury decide what the price of justice is for them.
I do accept referrals from other attorneys because I am a certified civil trial attorney by the Supreme Court in New Jersey. And we accept cases and do not require referring attorneys to participate. Of course, if they want to participate to any level, we welcome it. We also welcome co-counsel arrangements. And ultimately the vast majority of the cases that we handle are actually from other attorneys that entrust us with their cases by way of referring them to us. Every year, every week, and every day we grow our referral base, and that's I think in large part due to the reputation that our firm and our team has developed in the legal community.
