Paul M. da Costa, Partner and Chair of Snyder Sarno's Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury departments, represented numerous families and staff members that fell victim to COVID-19 inside of the Veterans Memorial Homes at Menlo Park and Paramus.
The Wall Street Journal article discusses the U.S. Department of Justice investigation report regarding New Jersey's state-run nursing homes for veterans which found that the veterans' homes failed to provide reasonable care and safety in response to the Covid-19 pandemic in violation of the residents' constitutional rights.
“The report is complete confirmation of what my clients have been saying for the last several years,” said Paul da Costa, a lawyer who represented families of 135 of the residents. “My clients and I hope this report leads once and for all to Gov. Murphy fulfilling his promise of a full accounting.”
