Emily Carstensen is hosting a Second Saturday Divorce Workshop 4-5-19

Emily R. Carstensen, will be a speaker at the Second Saturday Divorce Workshop for Women on April 13th, 2019 in Montclair, NJ. Second Saturday was established to help provide women with advice on the legal, financial, mental and professional strains that can be encountered during the divorce process. Founded in 1989 by the non-profit WIFE.org (the Women’s Institute for Financial Education), the workshop consists of segments that are taught by a family law attorney, a financial professional and a therapist.

The workshop will be held from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the Hillsdale Square (8 Hillside Ave) in Montclair, NJ. The price of admission is $20 and an RVSP is greatly encouraged. To RSVP please call: (973) 860-7222

Emily serves as counsel from our Hackensack office, where she devotes her practice exclusively to all aspects of matrimonial and family law. Emily handles a variety of family law matters such as: complex equitable distribution cases, custody and child support applications, domestic violence (Temporary and Final Restraining Orders) trials, post-divorce applications and prenuptial agreements.  Emily is regularly court appointed as a Guardian Ad Litem to represent the best interests of children in custody and parenting time matters.  Emily also frequently serves as a Parenting Coordinator in high conflict custody and parenting time matters.  Emily has extensive courtroom experience throughout northern and central New Jersey.  She regularly appears in Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Essex, Somerset, Hudson, and Middlesex Counties.

Emily serves as an Early Settlement Panelist in Morris and Bergen Counties.  Emily was recognized as a New Jersey SuperLawyer’s “Rising Star” from 2012 - 2019.* Emily was recognized by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys in 2016 and 2017 for client satisfaction.** Emily was also recognized by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys in 2017 and 2018.
