SSDMD Welcomes Phillip C Wiskow, and Dennis Shlionsky

Snyder Sarno D'Aniello Maceri & da Costa LLC is pleased to announce the expansion of its Medical Malpractice & Personal Injury Department with the addition of two new attorneys.  The expansion is driven by the addition of Phillip C. Wiskow, Esq. and his firm Gelman, Gelman, Wiskow & McCarthy LLC as Of Counsel to our Firm.  In addition,  Dennis Shlionsky, Esq. is joining as an Associate.

Despite the law firm of SSDMd being formed only slightly more than ten years ago, SSDMd has established an excellent reputation throughout New Jersey’s legal community.  One example of the Firm’s significant reputation is reflected in the fact that in 2021 four of SSDMd’s named partners, Angelo Sarno, Jerry D’Aniello, Joseph Maceri, and Paul da Costa, were selected to Thomson Reutuers' New Jersey Super Lawyers “Top 100” list.*  Although the firm has an attorney headcount of less than thirty, SSDMd had more attorneys named to the “Top 100” list than any other firm in the New Jersey region.

Prior to joining SSDMd, Mr. Wiskow was the managing partner of Gelman Gelman Wiskow & McCarthy LLC. He has 34 years of experience handling cases involving medical malpractice, products liability, and personal injury. During his career, Phil has successfully litigated more than a dozen cases that resulted in more than $1 million in damages. He has also tried more than 125 jury trials to completion in both state and federal courts, including in New Jersey, Florida, and California. Phil is a certified civil trial attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey.  Less than three percent of all trial attorneys in New Jersey have earned this distinction. Certification involves a rigorous application process that requires lawyers to demonstrate a high level of experience and knowledge in civil law, successful completion of a written examination, and recognition by peers as having superb litigation skills and a solid reputation for professionalism and ethics.  Phil has been selected for inclusion in New Jersey Super Lawyers** several times, and he has argued cases before the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Prior to joining SSDMd, Mr. Shlionsky has devoted his career to representing people injured through no fault of their own.  He has litigated numerous types of personal injury cases, including complex cases with catastrophic injuries.  Dennis has worked on cases that resulted in six and seven-figure resolutions, and he has assisted in the recovery of more than $10 million for his clients over his career.  He has been selected for inclusion in New Jersey Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list in 2019 and 2020.***
