Partner Paul M. da Costa Featured at 2016 NJAJ Meadowlands Seminar
By Paul da Costa on October 05, 2016
This November, Partner Paul M. da Costa will share a bit of his medical malpractice trial expertise with the New Jersey legal community. Paul will be participating in the annual Meadowlands Seminar presented by the New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ) to help other trial lawyers earn continuing legal education (CLE) credits. NJAJ is comprised of more than 2,400 members which include lawyers in both the private and public sectors, law clerks, paralegals, law students, and law school graduates. Founded nearly 60 years ago, NJAJ describes itself as “dedicated to protecting New Jersey’s families.” Specifically, the organization works to preserve and strengthen laws in order to attain safer workplaces and products, a cleaner environment, and better-quality healthcare.
On November 17, as part of the three-day event at the Hilton Meadowlands Hotel, Paul will be among the outstanding local and regional speakers that take attendees step-by-step through an anesthesia medical malpractice case. A different attorney with medical malpractice experience will go through each phase, from motions in limine and jury selection, to closing arguments, and everything in between. Paul will conduct the cross-examination of the defense liability expert.
Paul is a certified civil trial attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey who dedicates his practice to medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury cases. The types of cases Paul has handled include wrongful death suits, failure to diagnose cancer cases, informed consent issues, and general negligence actions against medical defendants.
